ED Design is a future-driven design and innovation agency. We design smart vehicles, products, services and working environments for clients such as ABB, Molok, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Valtra, and Viessmann.

Our approach to all our assignments is  user-centered and holistic. We are a strategic partner whose competence is reflected in the success of our customers and in the numerous international design awards we have received.

Now we are looking for an

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

to work in diverse product and vehicle design and innovation projects.

As a member of our team, you are an innovative explorer who looks at the world of design holistically. You are not afraid to take a role in project leadership and as a team player. You enjoy working with other R&D specialists contributing to the same project.

You can work from wherever you like. We will provide you a comfortable seat in Turku, Finland, but should you rather work from your home or cottage, feel free to do so. Our remote work setup has been optimized to enable working with heavy 3D models and large files over high bandwidth, regardless of where you are. We also have a well-equipped workshop at our Turku headquarters.

As an Industrial Designer, you understand that designs need to be functional and aesthetically pleasing while being cost-effective and manufacturable. You are capable of tackling the mechanical aspects of product design. You enjoy applying strategic vision and user-centered design principles to all of your tasks.

Preferably, your 3D CAD of choice is Creo, Solidworks or CATIA – or maybe more than one of them. Feel free to present us your competence in design and visualization tools.

You will get a good idea of the kind of person we are looking for by reading our blog Blueprint for a Perfect Designer. The first five skills listed in the blog are considered as a minimum requirement for all designers at ED. Considering the five first as a starting point, please pick two or more skills that best describe you as a designer. Then write a short a description of how these skills translate into your daily work and portfolio. Additionally, please include a CV and a portfolio of your work with your application.

At ED Design, you will be a member of an experienced team of designers and will get a chance to work for diverse clients on diverse design projects.

We offer a full-time, permanent position. Starting date can be mutually agreed on.

Please send your application by January 14th, 2022 at the latest. The position may be filled before the deadline, as soon as a suitable candidate is found

For more information or to send your application, please contact CEO Sami Pyörre, sami.pyorre@ed-design.fi, +358 41 532 0014.
